Where do we begin to thank you for providing our daughter Shannon with a picture perfect, storybook wedding? We simply do not have sufficient superlatives to express our gratitude. Everything was done seamlessly with impeccable service and exquisite taste.
We experienced not a small amount of trepidation when Shannon began planning her nuptials "on-line". In retrospect had we known how awesome you were prior to our actual meeting there never would have been the slightest worry. Your kindness and warmth shone through at every turn - from providing transportation and hair appointments to searching for misplaced passports and supplying fans to emotional guests.....
Just to let you know that the wedding was perfect. The day was wonderful and Fr. Michael was absolutely lovely - he made the wedding so special and personal. We were delighted.....
What can we say? It was the best day of our lives – everything was perfect and it was entirely down to you! We have had so many ‘thank you’ cards and comments about how ‘magical’ it was and how kind you both were – taking guests around, etc.. Sarah, your attention to detail is fantastic and we never dreamed it would be as magical as it was! Words cannot describe how much we appreciate your hard work and everything you did – down to the tiny details......

CIVIL WEDDINGS
A civil wedding in Italy can take place only in ‘official locations’ and, generally, this means the town hall (Comune). However, most Italian town halls are in historic buildings with frescoed rooms and art and make a very special place for a wedding.
Some town halls, particularly those in the larger and more well known cities and towns, charge a fee and perform marriages only at certain times on certain days. But many town halls in smaller towns still do not charge for weddings and are much more flexible with days and times. Couples are advised to check with us if they have a particular day or time in mind.
Couples should plan to arrive in Italy three to four working days before the wedding to allow for the completion of the documentation.

CHURCH WEDDINGS
Only ROMAN CATHOLIC church weddings are legal and recognised in Italy and do not require a civil ceremony prior to the marriage.
For all other denominations a civil ceremony is required to take place, before any church ceremony or blessing, for the marriage to be legal.
There are many wonderful churches, big and small, in every city, town and village throughout Italy. Couples, however, should always check with us first that the church of their choice is available as permission always has to be obtained from the parish priest or bishop.
Salve Umbria can arrange for an English, Roman Catholic, priest to conduct the service.
