We returned to Dubai last week after a fantastic honeymoon and we just wanted to thank you both again for everything you did over those several days that we celebrated our wedding!!
The Saturday itself was the most amazing experience for us both and couldn't have gone any better.
Everything that we had planned with you went according to those plans and, in many cases, even better!
We can't thank you enough for your attentive care to detail, not just to the organisation of the day but to us personally. By the end of the day, we were putty in your hands, looking to you both for advice whenever a decision had to be made - it was quite amusing really!
All our friends said what a fantastic time they had over the weekend.
The church was beautiful and the harpist and soprano really added to the romantic atmosphere.
Everything was dressed perfectly, and my aunt even commented on how lovely the flowers were, which is quite something for an Italian woman who loves her flowers - as, in fact, were all the flowers on the Saturday, including Helen's lovely bouquet.
Villa Monticelli was simply stunning on the night - how everything was arranged, from the aperitifs on the balcony, the antipasti and then desserts in the room upstairs, the additional and last minute musicians (!) and, of course, the main dining area, transformed at the end of the evening for dancing, made the whole event so enjoyable for everybody.
The food was sensational! The room full of desserts has already been a recurring topic amongst our friends as they couldn't believe there were so many and that they were so delicious!
Everybody commented on how well organised the wedding was and how hard you were both working. You really looked after our families and friends, for which we are very grateful to you both.
Most of our friends have said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. It certainly was for us! Lots of people commented on the atmosphere on the night, which was magical, and the venue and everything that had been organised so thoroughly contributed enormously.
And not just the Saturday, but your help on the Thursday (when we finally got married!!), organising that afternoon's lunch, and then drinks on Friday and the post-mortem on the Sunday made the whole thing such an amazing success and a really memorable time for everybody who came to Perugia (a town that everybody loved by the way).
Thank you so much again for all your help with organising what was a once in a lifetime experience. Such great memories! And of course please feel free to use this on your website as a wholehearted recommendation of your services.

Our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be and more. Thank you for all your hard work in making it all happen. Your negotiation with the Rocca was invaluable to resolve the issue with the Salone d’Onore. You were right that the courtyard made a lovely setting for the ceremony and will be truly unforgettable. All our guests were so impressed and had such a lovely day. Everyone keeps saying how wonderful it was despite the heat. We had a fabulous afternoon and evening at Fontanelle - the guests loved the pool and views and the food was fantastic.
Thank you for all your help with the buses - it must have been a very difficult task but it made the guests' trip so much more enjoyable knowing the transport was there. The flowers were beautiful and my bouquet held up very well in the heat.
Silvana was so patient on the day, keeping me calm and achieving what I can only call 'art work' in my hair. I was very happy with hair and make-up, she even helped my mum with the back of my dress, such a lovely lady.
The prosecco and water at the Rocca was well received - thank you for organising it.

Firstly we apologise for taking so long to get back in touch. Things are beginning to settle back to normal again, and since our fabulous wedding day you have not been far from our thoughts.
Even though it's over two and a half months since our wedding I still catch my breath when I think about it, and it's all thanks to you both and your amazing team.
Both of you made us feel so sure about the decision we made to get married in Umbria, and Sarah I had total confidence in you from the minute I met you. The kindness you both showed us on that beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon at your home we will never forget. What we achieved in those few precious hours was amazing.
We cannot begin to tell how special our wedding day was, I could write pages on the amazing day we had from start to finish. The whole day surpassed our wildest dreams, Villa Monticelli is such a special place, the whole setting was magical.
Father Michael gave a wonderful ceremony, his warmth and kindness was felt by everyone and he really made it feel like we were locals getting married in our own church. The whole service was a very moving, and very intimate, experience. I must say how lucky we were to have Marco playing for us, his music really added to the beauty of our wedding ceremony and we can't thank him enough for that.
Your staff were fantastic, we could not have wished for a nicer group of people to help with our wedding day. The girls waiting at our tables were so friendly and nice and they were so good with the "little people". Andrea did a superb job on the food, it was a spectacular display of colour and tastes. All our guests were in raptures over the food.
We absolutely loved the band, they're all fantastic musicians and the selection of music they played was spot on, whether it was during the meal or for the dancing afterwards. I (Gordon here !) had so much fun jamming with them, and they were very trusting to let us all get up and use their equipment. I know for the band that can be quite nerve wracking !! Thank you again.
Roberto did a great job with the photos, we are thrilled with the album. He is such a sweet man.
Sarah and Eric, our wedding was a great success and a very
memorable day and it is due to your careful planning and lots of detailed hard work. From the flowers to the table settings to the bottles of water in the church for the guests - it was all just so perfect.
I know there were moments that must have been quite stressful especially the church being double booked and having to deal with a very upset "Italian Mother of the Bride", but she added to the whole experience and at the end of the day we have had some laughs talking about her since !!
Thanks to you both - we have been privileged to meet so many wonderful people.
Eric, thank you again for sorting out accommodation in Rome for my parents and guiding us to the airport to catch our flight home. Gordon did drive with 'panache' leaving minutes to spare before our flight took to the air !

I wanted to write and thank you for being the most fantastic wedding planner around! You were absolutely brilliant throughout - your organisational skills and focus especially. Despite the many complexities you managed brilliantly.
The wedding was definitely the day of our dreams. The sunflowers and the hand tying of my bouquet were so natural and in keeping with the Tuscan landscape. The Abbadia looked stunning with your touch and decorating. Everyone raved about the food – the ‘cones’ of fritti, wild mushrooms, scallops, truffled scrambled eggs [there was a queue for these!], etc.. Then the dinner itself – pasta and the spiedini and then the dessert ‘trolley’ [people were blown away by this]. I really think the guests thought the antipasti buffet was it !! And when the tiered mountain cake of cupcakes arrived I was so surprised and delighted - it really was my dream to have that, although somewhat ambitious!!!
The wine and champagne were fantastic and everyone loved the Brunello.
The table settings looked stunning - the yellow/green/white theme was just right for me, in keeping with the countryside. I was so lucky that the sunflowers had just come out and the church service, led by Jenny, was so intimate and personal for me - in the place I had dreamt of.
So, many congratulations to the chefs and to their efficient, charming team. The video, too, looked brilliant.

We're just back from honeymoon and I wanted to write to say thank you so much for everything! The wedding just surpassed all our expectations, and given the nightmare of the possible air strike and no-guest scenario/no Fr. Michael due to the snow/no one to help with the flowers/no lights in the church etc. etc. you just kept so calm, and transmitted none of the stress you and Eric must have been feeling to us, and after the week of panic we'd had over the flights, we can't thank you enough for that! It was wonderful just to sit back and enjoy everything. All of our guests have said that they had the most wonderful time as well, and I suspect that the candlelit ceremony with Fr. Michael bearing a torch will be one of the more memorable wedding moments ever!
We'll write to thank the L'Orto (I thought they did a great job). Fr. Michael was wonderful, especially to have such a sense of humour about the lack of light! and please could you thank the string quartet for us - they played so beautifully and were so professional in the freezing cold, and I'm sorry we didn't have a chance to thank them personally. Guty & Simone were also brilliant, and again we really appreciated them learning "I'm forever blowing bubbles for us" - they must have thought we were all mad! And finally to the wonderful, wonderful Silvana - she's really a miracle worker, and such a lovely, calming presence!

We don't know where to start to thank you for all your time and effort to make our wedding so fabulous - you gave us such a special day we will never forget!
Every detail was thought of - the flowers were just perfect and complemented the church beautifully, the table centres were better than I could have imagined.
I feel you really got to know us and what we would like and you went out of your way to achieve this. I am so fussy and normally like to do everything myself, but you did a better job than I could ever have done and, of course, I had no stress or worries so I just enjoyed my day so much.
The food and wine........our guests are still talking about them! It was even better than the tasting day. The antipasti buffet was incredible and having the scrambled eggs and truffles cooked on the spot was magic.
The desserts were ‘yum’ - I just didn't have enough room to taste all of them. The wedding cake was such a surprise, I had almost forgotten about it, and hadn't bothered with worrying about a cake but this was a WOW! factor cake and tasted delicious. Please thank your caterers - the service at the dinner was so professional, I was very pleased with that.
Father Michael is such a special person. He made us feel so relaxed and our non-Catholic guests were put at ease. Assisi was a huge hit with all our friends and I believe Father Michael's' influence has brought a few of our guests back to Mass!
I cannot tell you how happy we were on the day and how special you made it for us. I know you worked so hard, but you have a gift for this kind of thing and I hope you go on to make many more couples’ weddings so memorable.
There was so much detail to thank you for I am sure I will forget half of it. Even providing the guests’ water at the church! The hairdresser was a star, we were all delighted with our hair and he was such good value. The photographers were great - the album is excellent.
The musicians at the church were brilliant; when they started to play the Bach cello suite (as I waited outside) it brought tears to my eyes.....obviously tears of happiness! And to end the evening with my Uncle playing the drums - how cool was that?!! Miguel was great to let us do that.
And all the little extra things, sorting out the hotel rooms, collecting the suits at the tailors with us, helping Mum and Dad with their train booking, getting Mum's bag back to her...........the list is endless.
I hope you enjoy drinking out of your Dublin crystal glasses as a small token of our thanks.
We have been to several weddings since ours and people we have never met before are coming up to us saying they heard how wonderful our wedding was! Your reputation is spreading.....

We both want to thank you for the most spectacular day (or, more accurately, weekend) of our lives. From beginning to end it was nothing but fun. We could never have imagined how amazing it would be. I used to laugh at people when they said your wedding day is the best day of your life, but it was certainly true in our case.
It was obvious to everyone that you put your hearts and souls into making it a truly memorable day, not only for us but for each and every one of our guests. The only problem is the grudging feeling among the soon-to-be-marrieds who were there that theirs will never compare to our wedding!!

We had a wonderful honeymoon in Tuscany and now we've come crashing back to the real world and are attempting to get our heads around this thing called "work" that we did before we were married!

The day was absolutely perfect, everything went so smoothly (the sun even came out on cue!). We both thought that the ceremony was just beautiful, the setting amazing and just everything was perfect. It seems like it was a dream, it all really couldn't have gone better. We haven't been able to wipe off the big goofy grins on our faces since the day, we are just so happy with everything.

We also wanted to let you know that the lunch at the caterers' restaurant in Spoleto was just perfect. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. Everyone is still raving about it! Serendipity led us to Salve Umbria. The wife/husband team of Sarah and Eric. From the moment we made contact, at first by email and then with a series of phone calls, we felt like Sarah and Eric were not just going to figure out how to make it happen, but that they would figure out how to make it US.
We both felt that the day was absolutely ideal, and that we were able to be very present for the things that mattered most.
Our event was beautiful, elegant, meaningful, delicious and fun.
Salve Umbria: Knows Italy. They cleared the way for us to just show up, meet some suppliers to personalize the experience and to enjoy our time. Although we chose not to have our actual civil ceremony in Italy, we know that Salve Umbria would have made it easy. Depending on the fates, we may be back for other official events (we hear that they may branch out into baptisms, which is a perfect follow-up to these romantic weddings!).
They also put together a listing of day trips for everyone in our party, so that they had the information, maps and directions if they wanted to visit nearby towns or shops.
Knows the right people for the job. Salve Umbria's recommendations were spot-on, and tailored to our needs. For example, when I decided against an expensive hairdresser being on site at Titignano (our wedding setting), Sarah suggested a reasonably priced stylist in Todi (22 km away). That morning with my friends, listening to music and drinking champagne, was great. From the sax player and the fabulous band, to the floral designer who was able to convert my words of “bold”, “deep tones”, “modern” into amazing pieces, to the skilled (and really, really nice) photographers, to Father Michael, a deep thinker with smiling eyes, Salve Umbria's contacts were all warm, open, talented and accommodating.
I think the people that Salve Umbria suggest are a reflection on them, and how they approach each event.
Knows style. Regardless of what your style is, they are able to translate your wishes into something that is at once very Italian and very much about your history and sensibilities. Sarah has a background in merchandising and interior design and it’s very obvious that she is creating a “scene”. The stone balcony outside of the dining area was set with little candles, creating a breathtaking outdoor backdrop for quieter conversations and fresh air. Her painterly eye extends to what could be her sideline job of documentary photographer.
Knows people. They were endlessly patient with our questions and concerns, which is enough. But, they were also endlessly patient with our family’s questions, concerns, train schedules, lunch requests, etc.. They were able to keep things moving without ever appearing to be cruise directors - I was in awe of them.
Knows business. Eric, who describes himself as the "back office”, was very thorough and articulate when it came to final budgets and invoices. Everything was clear and organized for us. Again, something that could have been a worry was just another well-executed part of Salve Umbria’s service.
Naturally, this is an abridged version of their song of praises. We think we were somewhat unusual in our needs and they handled it all so gracefully.
At a certain point in any wedding planning, I think you just have to have faith in your choices. That moment came very quickly and very easily for us knowing that we had chosen Salve Umbria to manage everything.
We thank them for giving us, and our families, so many beautiful life-long memories.

For our wedding we had a series of problems that would have made any seasoned wedding planner run for the Umbrian hills.
One of the reasons we contacted Salve Umbria was that we discovered, at the eleventh hour, that we didn't have the right paperwork for a Greek Orthodox / Roman Catholic wedding to be legally recognised in Italy.
Then the groom's wedding suit was stolen when he arrived in Italy and the stress of all of this aggravated the bride's long running back condition. What potentially could have been a very nightmarish situation was handled so amazingly by Salve Umbria that we'll forever be in their debt and is one of the reasons why we insisted they came to our wedding dinner! We really did owe it all to them.
Sarah, and Eric, pride themselves on offering a personal service and you can't get more personal than driving the groom around Italy to help him find a replacement wedding suit whilst Eric stayed to nurse the bride! They are a truly resourceful and amazing team and they have an efficient and reliable network of people working for them that collectively enables them to do anything.
The only limit seems to be your imagination - as we guarantee they'll know somebody somewhere who will be able to make it happen.
They arranged barmen at short notice, had a DJ on standby, put on a wine-tasting event when we had to cancel some of our other activities at the eleventh hour, they even arranged for an English doctor to come out and visit the bride - what more can we say?
And in case you're wondering, the wedding went like a dream...

We live in Ireland and got married in Italy in October 2003.
Salve Umbria were invaluable in helping us organise the day and we would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of getting married in this region of Italy and organising the day from a distance. Neither of us can speak Italian and so the prospect of organising the wedding from Ireland in four months was a daunting one. We had found a venue which we loved and, by chance, asked the staff if they knew of any English speaking wedding co-ordinators in the area. Thus began our relationship with Salve Umbria.
Sarah and Eric operate as a team and although a lot of work went into things before we arrived in Italy just a few days before the big day my abiding memory is of the way things ran like clockwork from the moment we arrived in Italy. Paperwork needed to be sorted the morning after we arrived and last minute decisions needed to be made. They couldn't have made this easier for us and their efforts went above and beyond the call of duty. On the day itself they went out of their way to ensure we had nothing to worry about except our own enjoyment of the day. Even the 'after-sales service' was exemplary and we met up for a drink and post mortem after our honeymoon before heading back home!
Once again, we have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants to remove the hassle and worry from the organisation of an Italian wedding.
