Where do we begin to thank you for providing our daughter Shannon with a picture perfect, storybook wedding? We simply do not have sufficient superlatives to express our gratitude. Everything was done seamlessly with impeccable service and exquisite taste.
We experienced not a small amount of trepidation when Shannon began planning her nuptials "on-line". In retrospect had we known how awesome you were prior to our actual meeting there never would have been the slightest worry. Your kindness and warmth shone through at every turn - from providing transportation and hair appointments to searching for misplaced passports and supplying fans to emotional guests.....
Just to let you know that the wedding was perfect. The day was wonderful and Fr. Michael was absolutely lovely - he made the wedding so special and personal. We were delighted.....
What can we say? It was the best day of our lives – everything was perfect and it was entirely down to you! We have had so many ‘thank you’ cards and comments about how ‘magical’ it was and how kind you both were – taking guests around, etc.. Sarah, your attention to detail is fantastic and we never dreamed it would be as magical as it was! Words cannot describe how much we appreciate your hard work and everything you did – down to the tiny details......

Some feedback.........

We're just back from honeymoon and I wanted to write to say thank you so much for everything! The wedding just surpassed all our expectations, and given the nightmare of the possible air strike and no-guest scenario/no Fr. Michael due to the snow/no one to help with the flowers/no lights in the church etc. etc. you just kept so calm, and transmitted none of the stress you and Eric must have been feeling to us, and after the week of panic we'd had over the flights, we can't thank you enough for that! It was wonderful just to sit back and enjoy everything. All of our guests have said that they had the most wonderful time as well, and I suspect that the candlelit ceremony with Fr. Michael bearing a torch will be one of the more memorable wedding moments ever!
We'll write to thank the L'Orto (I thought they did a great job). Fr. Michael was wonderful, especially to have such a sense of humour about the lack of light! and please could you thank the string quartet for us - they played so beautifully and were so professional in the freezing cold, and I'm sorry we didn't have a chance to thank them personally. Guty & Simone were also brilliant, and again we really appreciated them learning "I'm forever blowing bubbles for us" - they must have thought we were all mad! And finally to the wonderful, wonderful Silvana - she's really a miracle worker, and such a lovely, calming presence!
Thank you so much again - you and Eric really made it perfect for us, and if anyone requests references for you we'd be absolutely delighted to speak to them to recommend you and in fact everyone involved.
With all best wishes, Cathryn and Mike London, England [Bevagna, Umbria]
Just a note to say thank you so much to you and your husband for your organisation of Cathryn's and Mike's wedding. The church was lovely - and romantic by candlelight! - and L'Orto Degli Angeli was honestly out of this world. It was a most memorable and happy experience for everyone there and very especially for Cathryn and Mike themselves. Even little touches like the blankets with ribbons and bows were delightful.
Our thanks again - it meant we could enjoy the occasion as guests and not have to worry about anything. It all went so well.
Every good wish for 2008. Maureen and Paul [Parents of the bride]
We are now back in Canada with so many wonderful memories to keep us warm. The best memory is our tiny, perfect, wedding in Montone. Thank you for making it happen for us. There's not a single thing we would have changed including the weather! Sarah I'm so glad I had flowers - thank you for thinking of it. Julia and Robert North Vancouver, Canada [Montone, near Umbertide, Umbria]
I don't know where to begin with a "thank you" but I decided to go ahead and write a quick note now and send you a more formal "thanks" later via mail. I didn't know where to begin because I was so overwhelmed with your service and professionalism - as you are well aware, it met and exceeded all expectations. Your assistance from start to finish was superb. As I searched for answers to my many, many, questions Sarah's (and later Eric's) responses were always prompt and crystal clear - something that afforded great reassurance when planning from afar. For two Americans getting married in Italy, you made the paperwork maze less intimidating and oh, so smooth! Your style and attention to detail were amazing. The wedding table where we had our first meal as husband and wife was gorgeous! Martha Stewart has met her European match, I MUST say! Your team of professionals seems more like a family than an "agency" (as I know - you are not an "agency"!). Father Michael is a special man and you are so blessed to have him as a friend. Eric and I will remember the words, the food, the sights and the sounds all the days of our long, long life together.
Thank you so much.
All of our best, Shannon and Eric, Buffalo, New York, USA [Spoleto, Umbria]
Buongiorno Sarah and Eric - Where do we begin to thank you for providing our daughter Shannon with a picture perfect, storybook wedding? We simply do not have sufficient superlatives to express our gratitude. Everything was done seamlessly with impeccable service and exquisite taste.
We experienced not a small amount of trepidation when Shannon began planning her nuptials "on-line". In retrospect had we known how awesome you were prior to our actual meeting there never would have been the slightest worry. Your kindness and warmth shone through at every turn - from providing transportation and hair appointments to searching for misplaced passports and supplying fans to emotional guests.
The glorious backdrop of Spoleto coupled with your "pitch-perfect" planning made the day beyond memorable. The church setting, understated, elegant decorations, magnificent music and the mass celebrated by Father Michael were all beautiful and truly meaningful. The reception was scripted to befit "The Royals" - no film director could have made it more elegant.
Shannon and Eric are unique people and you provided them not with a wedding - but a never-to-be-forgotten dream. And thus we say - not Salve Umbria! - but Salve Sarah and Eric!
Fondly, Kathy and Mike [Parents of the bride] New York, USA [Spoleto, Umbria]
We would both like to thank you so much for the organisation of our wonderful wedding. We both were completely amazed by the day and never wanted it to end.
You, both, worked very hard in creating the perfect day that we would remember for the rest of our lives and this was very much the case.....it was the best day of our lives. The jazz band was amazing in making the atmosphere fun and relaxed - this was our main concern when organising our wedding. They were not only excellent in playing their instruments but they also entertained each and every one of our guests. They have been the talking point of our guests even seven days after the big day!!!! We would definitely recommend them to your future clients….
The tables looked great, and everything went according to plan. The villa itself was an amazing place to be married and even though on honeymoon we were staying at the most exclusive resorts abroad, the stay in Italy at Palazzo Terranova will take some beating! Simone and Guty were fantastic in getting the crowd going in the evening and we danced until 4 in the morning! Words cannot describe the feeling of that day.
I feel sorry for my three friends who are due to get married in England next year. They have already quoted our wedding as the best they have seen and are scared to be married as they suggest that theirs will be a "disappointment" after experiencing ours!
Once again - thank you so much for all your help not only for the day itself but for your re-assurances and support over the last year by email and by telephone! Nicola and Kevin St. Helens, England [Morra, near Cittą di Castello, Umbria]
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for arranging our wedding in Italy (Poreta & Trevi). It was a very special ceremony, we loved the words from each article and were very pleased that we didn't add anything extra to the ceremony because it was perfect just the way it was - even if the Mayor did get the paperwork in a bit of a muddle! The reception was also over and above our expectations with everyone loving Benedetto's personality!
Also, I must mention that the flowers were amazing, the bouquet especially, they were exactly to my taste and the colours looked great in the photographs. We have enjoyed going through the photos and are now in the process of printing them out and putting them into a nice album. We have too many memories to mention of course, but those are a few! Your service and your sense of what we wanted was spot on so we were very happy with having chosen Salve Umbria!
We also loved the first part of the honeymoon in Vernazza, and followed your recommendations for trips to do from there, to Portovenere, etc! it was the perfect start to us relaxing after having so many people to attend to.
We hope you are both doing well, and are now relaxing after a busy summer!
Thanks again,
Love, Nikki and Hayden Sydney, Australia [Trevi, Umbria]
I hope you are both well. Marty and I returned home Sunday. We had a fantastic adventure in Italy, but are also glad to be home with our four- legged furry friends. We wanted to thank you both for all your help with our wedding. We were wondering if you would be able to send us the English version of our ceremony...specifically Articles 143, 144, and 147. We both thought they were well written and worth having a copy of. That would be great!
Anyway, thanks again for everything. Cheryl and Marty Coquitlam, Canada [Assisi, Umbria]
What a splendid day we had! Thank you so much for your excellent and professional organisation and for being there as interpreter and witness. Both the photos and the video turned out very well – we’ve had great fun reliving the day.
You are very lucky to live and work in such a wonderful country!
Thank you once again for everything! Maxine and Dermot Munich, Germany [Monte San Savino, Tuscany]
Thank you so much for all your help in organising our special day. You have both been so pleasant to deal with and despite our tardiness on multiple occasions in replying to emails you never stressed us out! You both have a great gift in making peoples’ dreams come true. Sorry we have not been in contact sooner but we are still coming back down to earth. I can only say that you and Eric were instrumental in creating our dream wedding. I was overwhelmed by your attention to detail and your enthusiasm. The reports from our guests have been outstanding! We had a paradise end to our wedding in the Maldives and having returned home on the 8th made a swift return to work on the 9th!
The wedding now seems like a distant memory. Much has happened since we got home and hence it has been very hectic. Thank you so much for being such a brilliant wedding co-ordinator. We could not have achieved such great success with our wedding without the expert advice and guidance of both you and Eric.
Once again, thank you for everything over the past few months. Ciao for now! Muireann and Gavin Dublin, Ireland [Assisi, Umbria]
We don't know where to start to thank you for all your time and effort to make our wedding so fabulous - you gave us such a special day we will never forget! Every detail was thought of - the flowers were just perfect and complemented the church beautifully, the table centres were better than I could have imagined. I feel you really got to know us and what we would like and you went out of your way to achieve this. I am so fussy and normally like to do everything myself, but you did a better job than I could ever have done and, of course, I had no stress or worries so I just enjoyed my day so much. The food and wine........our guests are still talking about them! It was even better than the tasting day. The antipasti buffet was incredible and having the scrambled eggs and truffles cooked on the spot was magic. The desserts were ‘yum’ - I just didn't have enough room to taste all of them. The wedding cake was such a surprise, I had almost forgotten about it, and hadn't bothered with worrying about a cake but this was a WOW! factor cake and tasted delicious. Please thank your caterers - the service at the dinner was so professional, I was very pleased with that. Father Michael is such a special person. He made us feel so relaxed and our non-Catholic guests were put at ease. Assisi was a huge hit with all our friends and I believe Father Michael's' influence has brought a few of our guests back to Mass!
I cannot tell you how happy we were on the day and how special you made it for us. I know you worked so hard, but you have a gift for this kind of thing and I hope you go on to make many more couples’ weddings so memorable.
There was so much detail to thank you for I am sure I will forget half of it. Even providing the guests’ water at the church! The hairdresser was a star, we were all delighted with our hair and he was such good value. The photographers were great - the album is excellent. The musicians at the church were brilliant; when they started to play the Bach cello suite (as I waited outside) it brought tears to my eyes.....obviously tears of happiness! And to end the evening with my Uncle playing the drums - how cool was that?!! Miguel was great to let us do that. And all the little extra things, sorting out the hotel rooms, collecting the suits at the tailors with us, helping Mum and Dad with their train booking, getting Mum's bag back to her...........the list is endless. I hope you enjoy drinking out of your Dublin crystal glasses as a small token of our thanks. We have been to several weddings since ours and people we have never met before are coming up to us saying they heard how wonderful our wedding was! Your reputation is spreading..... We will keep in touch and will definitely be coming back to Umbria. Lots of love and a million ‘thank you’s’. Brenda and Alan Dublin, Ireland [Perugia, Umbria]
We just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for all your ideas, dedication and attention to detail that made our wedding so special on September 8th. Everyone at home is still talking about it and in fact it even featured in the ‘Sunday Independent’ newspaper here in Ireland! We were blessed with the weather, thank God! Everything really came together on the day - Father Michael made the ceremony really special, the church looked great, we loved the ‘old’ car, even if it did make us late! The Reception venue was spectacular and the food lovely. The band exceeded both our expectations – please ensure that they receive our thanks as they were absolutely fantastic and really managed to get everyone going - including grandmothers! And the ‘Entertainers’ sealed the deal for a great night. We have been poring over our wedding album which is fantastic, they did a great job. So, please convey our sincere thanks to everyone involved and thanks again for everything - it was such a special day for us. Pam and Dave Dublin, Ireland [Spoleto, Umbria]
A BIG thank you from both Paul and myself, not just for the wedding itself, but for all the inconvenience you went through trying to find our luggage. The day was all we wanted and more, we felt like true Italians in our outfits - so maybe it worked out for the best!
I can't recommend Salve Umbria enough - from start to finish you helped me to arrange the day of my dreams, from the choice of Montone as wedding venue to the meal at Nonna Gelso. Our friends and family praised us over it all but it was all down to you.
Please could you pass on our heartfelt thanks to Roberto - even I like the photos of me, Rosanna and Rosella - they made me look as beautiful as I felt. Also please thank the restaurant - the meal was incredible.
Once again, thank you for all your hard work; I hope all the brides you help in the future know how fortunate they are to have you help them on their special day, I know we do. Sara and Paul Bolton, England [Montone, near Umbertide, Umbria]
We cannot thank you enough for all your hard work to make our wedding so perfect and, in particular, your excellent recommendations for suppliers (we trusted your good taste implicitly). The final ‘entertainment’ perfected our ‘Midsummer’s Night Dream’ theme. We’ve had so many comments from guests that it really was the best wedding that they had ever attended! We don’t know where the time went – you were so right, we could have easily gone on all night!! Thank you in particular, Sarah, for being so supportive to me in the last week when we started to ‘crack up’!! The food was superb, the blessing service was ‘something else’ - Fr. Michael is a truly wonderful and special man. The wedding was our ‘dream come true’ and we’re so pleased that we went with you. Thanks for understanding and putting up with all my (Johanna) worries. Can’t believe it’s all over!!
Love and warm wishes, Johanna and Mathew London, England [Umbertide, Umbria]
A note to thank you again for the efficient and imaginative way in which you carried out your work for Mathew and Johanna’s wedding. It could not have been lovelier to look at, more delicious to taste or more enjoyable to take part in and we are very appreciative of all your efforts to make it a memorable day. We know that it cannot have been easy but we feel that it was perfect ‘on the night’. Do please pass on also our thanks to the caterers, the florist, the musicians and the entertainers.
[Parents of the Bridegroom]) Johanna and Mathew London, England [Umbertide, Umbria]
Tim and I would just like to say a proper ‘thank you’ for all your help for our wedding. Also for the fantastic photographs that you took – lots of them will be in the big wedding album that we are gradually putting together. We had an amazing day and we couldn’t have done it without you. Ffion and Tim Bath, England [Cortona, Tuscany]
What can we say? It was the best day of our lives – everything was perfect and it was entirely down to you! We have had so many ‘thank you’ cards and comments about how ‘magical’ it was and how kind you both were – taking guests around, etc.. Sarah, your attention to detail is fantastic and we never dreamt it would be as magical as it was! Words cannot describe how much we appreciate your hard work and everything you did – down to the tiny details. What a wonderful, wonderful day! Thank you so very much. Claudio and Maribel Leicester, England [Spoleto, Umbria]
We both want to thank you for the most spectacular day (or, more accurately, weekend) of our lives. From beginning to end it was nothing but fun. We could never have imagined how amazing it would be. I used to laugh at people when they said your wedding day is the best day of your life, but it was certainly true in our case. It was obvious to everyone that you put your hearts and souls into making it a truly memorable day, not only for us but for each and every one of our guests. The only problem is the grudging feeling among the soon-to-be-marrieds who were there that theirs will never compare to our wedding!! Please pass on our thanks to everyone involved. The Castello made us feel completely at home. Father Michael was a delight and an interesting and articulate man who fitted right in with our families. The ceremony was beautiful, thanks to him. It was all pure magic!! Claire and Mark Dublin, Ireland [Assisi, Umbria]
We don’t know how to thank you for everything you have done. You are amazing people and we shall never forget this experience. You created our dream in Italy and it has been all the more special to have experienced your care, attention and friendship. Maryam and Simon Los Angeles, USA [Assisi, Umbria]
Thank you so much for making our wedding day so special – we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way! Thank you also for your wonderful hospitality. Elspeth and James Brighton, England [Spello, Umbria]
I would just like to say ‘congratulations’ for doing such a wonderful job on the wedding!!! You seemed to have thought of everything and it all appeared to go effortlessly, and without a hitch – no mean feat with all those people and children, and in that location! The dinner alone was a minefield for an organiser and it was just magical! I’ve organised the occasional event myself over the years and I’m overcome with admiration!!! Well done! [Diana (bride’s aunt)] Sarah and Ben London, England [Perugia, Umbria]
I just wanted to say a huge ‘thank you’ for organising our ceremony at Monteleone and for interpreting at the service so beautifully. I know that without your help the wedding would not have been as stress-free as it was and I would recommend your services to anyone who is considering getting married in Italy. Allistair and I had a truly wonderful day. I was gearing up for a very perfunctory, and possibly dull, ceremony and actually it turned out to be very special! The Mayor’s words were so thoughtful and I love the flowers they presented me! Thank you too for taking the strain out of what I know can be a very long and bureaucratic process for a civil wedding. Amanda and Allistair Bristol, England [Monteleone, near Orvieto, Umbria]
Many thanks for all your help in making our wedding in Spoleto a truly lovely occasion! It was all hassle-free which was exactly what we wanted - this is thanks in no small way to your efforts! Il Teatro di Gusto, where we ate after the ceremony, was absolutely fantastic! While all Italian food tastes exqusite to me, the Italian contingent of the group was also very impressed! Thanks also for the photos that you have sent us. Jacinta & Gianni Dublin, Ireland [Spoleto, Umbria]
We had a wonderful honeymoon in Tuscany and now we've come crashing back to the real world and are attempting to get our heads around this thing called "work" that we did before we were married! We would just like to thank you for everything you did for us. It was a rocky road but thanks to you, we made it. You were so patient and so calming, we really couldn't have done any of this without you. You went far and above the ‘call of duty’ and we are just so grateful to you. The day was absolutely perfect, everything went so smoothly (the sun even came out on cue!). We both thought that the ceremony was just beautiful, the setting amazing and just everything was perfect. It seems like it was a dream, it all really couldn't have gone better. We haven't been able to wipe off the big goofy grins on our faces since the day, we are just so happy with everything. Thank you so much for the CD as well which we received on Wednesday. We don't have any photos with us at the moment of the ceremony so it was so nice to see some to know it actually did happen! They are really fantastic so thank you, that is such a bonus! We also wanted to let you know that the lunch at the Apollinare in Spoleto was just perfect. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. Everyone is still raving about it! Please do pass on our comments to them when you next see them, and thank you so much for the recommendation and helping us with the booking/menu. The day really was perfect, there is nothing that we wish could have gone better and our memories will be just amazing. It seems so surreal to tell people that we were married in a fortress in Italy! You are welcome to put any of these comments on your website as testimonials, and do please pass on our email address to any prospective couples. We would be just thrilled to be able to recommend the wonders of Salve Umbria!!! One final question for you, do you know if it is possible to have the words to the ceremony? We thought they really were so beautiful, and so fitting for us, it would be great to have them for our album. Thank you so much again, and we'll definitely keep in touch. All the very best, Julia and Robert Oxford, England [Spoleto, Umbria]
Just a note to thank you so much for everything that you have done to arrange our perfect wedding. We truly had a wonderful day and still can’t stop talking about it! All our guests commented on how much they appreciated the civil ceremony – and the choice of restaurant and food were fantastic! Thank you so much again, Sarah, for all your time and effort into making our day so special. With love and best wishes, Laura and Kevin Worthing, England [Todi, Umbria]
I am so sorry it has taken me an absolute age to contact you, it has been such a whirlwind since we arrived home. We simply cannot thank you enough for all your wonderful work, the day was absolutely perfect we both enjoyed it so much as did our entire family, who also thought you were wonderful, which you both are - officially! Thank you also for your beautiful photos, we received them on the first Monday, which was great as it kept our return to reality at bay for a little longer. I am a very lucky girl who had an absolutely wonderful wedding thanks to you both, so thank you Sarah, once again, for making our day absolutely fantastic. The kindest and most lovingly grateful of regards Kate and Richard Norwich, England [Lucca, Tuscany]
Just to let you know that the wedding was perfect. The day was wonderful and Fr. Michael was absolutely lovely - he made the wedding so special and personal. We were delighted to have him join us for the meal afterwards. Thanks very much for introducing him to us. If we ever have to recommend an Italian wedding organiser - then we wouldn't hesitate - Salve Umbria would be our first choice! Maria-Claire and James Manchester, England [Valfabbrica, near Perugia, Umbria]
Hi Sarah, thanks for sending us the CD. These pictures are really good! We just want to say thank you for all the additional work you put in for us. You went way beyond your remit - you gave everything a personal touch and Glyn and I really appreciated that. The service was superb - much better than we imagined. I thought that the things the mayor said were superb. Much more suited to us instead of all of this 'life is a journey' that some couples get! Thanks again Sarah - I will be sure to pass on your company's name if I ever hear of anyone wishing to marry in Italy. Claire and Glyn Edinburgh, Scotland
[San Gimignano, Tuscany]
Thanks again... awesome job. Gina and Kevin San Francisco, USA [Spello, Umbria]
Sarah, It’s amazing to think that almost a week has slipped by since the Blessing Ceremony. Thank you for arranging it so beautifully. I have really come to appreciate the way you truly personalise every such occasion, taking exquisite care of the slightest details. I’m sure that this must mean a great deal to the couples and their families and friends, so that their Umbrian celebration must be a most memorable occasion. Fr. Michael Assisi, Umbria
Serendipity led us to Salve Umbria. The wife/husband team of Sarah and Eric. From the moment we made contact, at first by email and then with a series of phone calls, we felt like Sarah and Eric were not just going to figure out how to make it happen, but that they would figure out how to make it US. We both felt that the day was absolutely ideal, and that we were able to be very present for the things that mattered most. Our event was beautiful, elegant, meaningful, delicious and fun. Salve Umbria: Knows Italy. They cleared the way for us to just show up, meet some suppliers to personalize the experience and to enjoy our time. Although we chose not to have our actual civil ceremony in Italy, we know that Salve Umbria would have made it easy. Depending on the fates, we may be back for other official events (we hear that they may branch out into baptisms, which is a perfect follow-up to these romantic weddings!). They also put together a listing of day trips for everyone in our party, so that they had the information, maps and directions if they wanted to visit nearby towns or shops.
Knows the right people for the job. Salve Umbria's recommendations were spot-on, and tailored to our needs. For example, when I decided against an expensive hairdresser being on site at Titignano (our wedding setting), Sarah suggested a reasonably priced stylist in Todi (22 km away). That morning with my friends, listening to music and drinking champagne, was great. From the sax player and the fabulous band, to the floral designer who was able to convert my words of “bold”, “deep tones”, “modern” into amazing pieces, to the skilled (and really, really nice) photographers, to Father Michael, a deep thinker with smiling eyes, Salve Umbria's contacts were all warm, open, talented and accommodating. I think the people that Salve Umbria suggest are a reflection on them, and how they approach each event. Knows style. Regardless of what your style is, they are able to translate your wishes into something that is at once very Italian and very much about your history and sensibilities. Sarah has a background in merchandising and interior design and it’s very obvious that she is creating a “scene”. The stone balcony outside of the dining area was set with little candles, creating a breathtaking outdoor backdrop for quieter conversations and fresh air. Her painterly eye extends to what could be her sideline job of documentary photographer. Knows people. They were endlessly patient with our questions and concerns, which is enough. But, they were also endlessly patient with our family’s questions, concerns, train schedules, lunch requests, etc.. They were able to keep things moving without ever appearing to be cruise directors - I was in awe of them. Knows business. Eric, who describes himself as the "back office”, was very thorough and articulate when it came to final budgets and invoices. Everything was clear and organized for us. Again, something that could have been a worry was just another well-executed part of Salve Umbria’s service. Naturally, this is an abridged version of their song of praises. We think we were somewhat unusual in our needs and they handled it all so gracefully.
At a certain point in any wedding planning, I think you just have to have faith in your choices. That moment came very quickly and very easily for us knowing that we had chosen Salve Umbria to manage everything.
We thank them for giving us, and our families, so many beautiful life-long memories. Jennifer and Gerard San Francisco, USA [Orvieto, Umbria]
Rodney and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so very much for making our special day as perfect as it was. We have viewed the photos you have sent via email and thank you again. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you would like to use our email address on your internet site for testimonies. Colette and Rodney Sydney, Australia [Ravello, Amalfi coast]
Franco and I cannot wait to write our recommendations for your Feedback page and we would be more than happy to give references if anyone wants to find out more. We are your Number 1 fans! For our wedding we had a series of problems that would have made any seasoned wedding planner run for the Umbrian hills. One of the reasons we contacted Salve Umbria was that we discovered, at the eleventh hour, that we didn't have the right paperwork for a Greek Orthodox / Roman Catholic wedding to be legally recognised in Italy. Then the groom's wedding suit was stolen when he arrived in Italy and the stress of all of this aggravated the bride's long running back condition. What potentially could have been a very nightmarish situation was handled so amazingly by Salve Umbria that we'll forever be in their debt and is one of the reasons why we insisted they came to our wedding dinner! We really did owe it all to them. Sarah, and Eric, pride themselves on offering a personal service and you can't get more personal than driving the groom around Italy to help him find a replacement wedding suit whilst Eric stayed to nurse the bride! They are a truly resourceful and amazing team and they have an efficient and reliable network of people working for them that collectively enables them to do anything. The only limit seems to be your imagination - as we guarantee they'll know somebody somewhere who will be able to make it happen. They arranged barmen at short notice, had a DJ on standby, put on a wine-tasting event when we had to cancel some of our other activities at the eleventh hour, they even arranged for an English doctor to come out and visit the bride - what more can we say?
And in case you're wondering, the wedding went like a dream... A very happy Corina & Franco London, England [Orvieto, Umbria]
We live in Ireland and got married in Italy in October 2003. Salve Umbria were invaluable in helping us organise the day and we would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of getting married in this region of Italy and organising the day from a distance. Neither of us can speak Italian and so the prospect of organising the wedding from Ireland in four months was a daunting one. We had found a venue which we loved and, by chance, asked the staff if they knew of any English speaking wedding co-ordinators in the area. Thus began our relationship with Salve Umbria. Sarah and Eric operate as a team and although a lot of work went into things before we arrived in Italy just a few days before the big day my abiding memory is of the way things ran like clockwork from the moment we arrived in Italy. Paperwork needed to be sorted the morning after we arrived and last minute decisions needed to be made. They couldn't have made this easier for us and their efforts went above and beyond the call of duty. On the day itself they went out of their way to ensure we had nothing to worry about except our own enjoyment of the day. Even the 'after-sales service' was exemplary and we met up for a drink and post mortem after our honeymoon before heading back home! Once again, we have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants to remove the hassle and worry from the organisation of an Italian wedding. Michelle and Holger Dublin, Ireland [Orvieto, Umbria]
THANK YOU so much for the new CD. Sarah, the pictures are PERFECT! WONDERFUL! WOW! I'm getting them printed up this weekend -- perhaps you should add wedding photographer to your resumé. You've given us a very special gift -- a perfect wedding and, we hope, a life-long friendship. You should see the envious smiles and amazed gasps we get when we recount our ceremony in Assisi, and also the olive picking in Umbria. Thanks to both of you for the magical memories. Suzanne and Kevin Tucson, Arizona [Assisi, Umbria]
Je ne pourrai jamais assez vous remercier pour tout ce que vous avez fait pour Yasmin et moi, pour que ce jour soit réussi. Toute la preparation a été superbement bien fait. Je ne l'oublierai jamais. Eric Yasmin and Eric Paris, France [Perugia, Umbria]
From the very first conversation with Sarah and Eric we knew that our wedding would be everything that we had hoped for. Their kindness and attention to detail ensured a truly special day. Just a brief note to thank you both again for bending further backwards to help us out. You have certainly gone far beyond the call of duty and we are eternally grateful. Sarah and Matthew London, England [Perugia, Umbria] |
